Two men and a woman were brutally attacked in different parts of Folkestone town centre, with one reportedly suffering bleeds on the brain.
The two attacks, which are not connected, happened outside Party Bar in Harbour Way between 2.45am and 2.50am and in Sandgate Road between 1.30am and 1.40am, both on Saturday.
A man in his 20s was assaulted and went to hospital with serious injuries.
Investigating officer Detective Sergeant Cara Ferguson said: “We believe that the victim was involved in an altercation with another man and fell to the floor, hitting his head on the concrete.
“We are asking anyone who was in that area of Folkestone on Friday night into Saturday morning and who saw the incident or has information about what happened to contact us.”
The other couple in their 40s were reportedly assaulted by a group of people aged between 16 and 18.
A man and his girlfriend were enjoying a night out when the violence unfolded in the town centre.
The victim, who we are not naming, said: “We had a great night and decided to walk to the taxi rank by Santander.
“Sadly we were attacked by a group of teenagers and worst of all Lorraine got punched in the face several times.
“She now sports a fat lip, swollen nose and chipped teeth, among other things including broken glasses.
“Meanwhile I was pushed into a doorway and my arms held while I was repeatedly punched.
“My dislocated shoulder was on the mend but is now worse than before.
“Other than that I have several head and rib injuries.”
Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact Kent Police on 01843 222289 or Kent Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 quoting reference ZY/33020/16.

“I would like to reassure people that Shepway is still a very safe place to live, work and visit.”
