Police from London have descended on a service station in Kent this morning as part of a planned procedure.
Around 10 police vans have been spotted at the Stop 24 truck and motorway services stop at junction 11 on the M20.
An eyewitness added that a white tent had been erected and there was an investigation team near the lorry park entrance.
A Kent Police spokesman told KentOnline that the response is being led by the Metropolitan Police.
A Met Police spokesman said: "On Thursday, December 13, Met officers are working alongside partners including Kent Police, the National Crime Agency (NCA), HMRC and Border Force in the Folkestone area to conduct checks on vehicles.
"This is a planned operation."
