A GIRL of eight who went missing from her home early today has been found safe and well near the school where she is a pupil.

The mother of Courtney Chambers realised she was missing from her home in Invicta Road, Folkestone, at about 6.45am.

Kent Police said the front door of the house was open and her jacket and school shoes were missing.

Courtney had been missing for about two hours before she was found.
