KENT police say a woman who had been missing from home has been found safe and well.

Penelope Gibbs, also known as Penny, had vanished after leaving her home in Shorncliffe Road, Folkestone, in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

A police spokesman said on Thursday night: "Officers would like to thank the media for their assistance in helping to locate Penny."
