Motorcyclist who died when his bike crashed with a lorry on the M20 named as Philip Baker from Folkestone

The motorcyclist who died after crashing with a lorry has been described as man who had "impact on everyone's life."

Philip Baker, 28, of Downs Road in Folkestone, was riding his motorbike on the London-bound carriageway between junction 10 and 11 of the M20 shortly after 2am on Saturday.

His bike collided with a lorry and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The section of the motorway was closed for 10 hours while officers carried out inquiries.

Mr Baker's family sent out the following statement: "Our family would like to thank everyone for their beautiful words, love and support during this devastating time.

"We are absolutely overwhelmed by how loved our Philip is and could not be prouder of the impact he has had on everyone’s life. We love you Phil."

Both carriageways were initially shut following the incident with the coastbound route re-opening that morning.
