A crash in Cheriton left a motorcyclist injured and the road into the village closed in both directions.

The accident happened on the B2064, just after the junction with the M20, at 5.40pm.

A male motorcyclist was treated at the scene by paramedics. A woman driving a grey Fiat Punto is not thought to have been injured.

The road was been closed while highways agency workers cleared fluid off the carriageways. It was reopened at 7pm.
