A mother was assaulted and mugged in front of her young children in a town centre during the afternoon.
The robbery happened at the junction of Tontine Street and Old High Street in Folkestone between 5.15pm and 5.45pm on Thursday.
The woman, in her 30s, was grabbed by her jumper and her purse containing cash was stolen.
She was then reportedly punched in the face, causing bruising.
Police have released a description of the suspects as part of a manhunt.
A spokesman said: “The first suspect is described as mixed race, around 20 years old, 5ft 6 ins tall with a skinny build.
"He had an Afro-style haircut and was wearing a navy blue tracksuit with the hood up.
“The second suspect is described as white, around 20 years old with a medium build and 6 ft 2 ins tall."
He reportedly had facial stubble, and his brown hair was styled as short at the sides but longer on top.
He was wearing blue jeans, a grey t-shirt with a grey jumper tied around his waist and coloured tattoos on his chest and arms.
