Drivers were left stunned as a man wearing a skirt crossed a road... while taking a fish for a walk!
In one of the most bizarre videos seen in Kent, the bearded man appears to be taking the dead fish 'walkies'.
He is also barefoot on a windy winter’s day.
But it turned out to be a publicity stunt for a surprise performance hosted by the Creative Quarter later today.
The 32 second video was filmed at about 1pm today by Folkestone town sprucer Peter Phillips, in Grace Hill in the town.
He said: “I was passing in my van and I saw this, so decided to park and film the man. It was incredible.
"It looked like he was dragging an 18lb cod and he kept a straight face, as if there was nothing unusual.
“He walked up Grace Hill towards Dover Road. I have no idea who he was and what he was doing but after a short bit of filming him I just left him and got back into my van.”
Mr Phillips filmed the mystery man for 32 seconds but did not try to stop and speak to him.
The footage shows the man pause for traffic as he takes the large fish across the street.
Folkestone's Creative Quarter has now revealed that this was a stunt was to promote a show by the arts group Performance Space.
It will be at the former Folkestone Triennial Visitor Centre at 3 to 7 Tontine Street from 5pm today. Details of what exactly the show is about are being kept secret until then.
