A new bistro serving everything from coffee to dinner to cocktails has opened in Folkestone town centre.
Sunshine cafe and restaurant opened this month in Sandgate Road, opposite the former Debenhams, now named Folca.
It comes from husband and wife Halit and Milda Guner, who also own the Sunshine Cafe in Hythe.
The new eatery serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as hot drinks, cocktails and wine.
Mr Guner, who is originally from Turkey and has lived in Folkestone 11 years, said: "We are doing a mix really. We will have Turkish food but also want to do healthy options, with avocado, asparagus and smoked salmon.
"It's not just breakfast. We are open all day with lunch and dinner too.
"We cater for all ages. Our coffee is very popular and we do good cocktails and selection of wines.
"Everything is to a high standard.
"We have proper baristas, two chefs and an experienced barman."
Fifteen members of staff have been taken on at Sunshine, which has 100 seats inside and 24 more outside.
On expanding in Folkestone, Mr Guner said: "We did think about opening in Canterbury. But because we live in Folkestone we wanted to invest here.
"Our friends and family are here too."
Mr Guner, who shares three children Ediz, Kenan and Kayla with wife Milda, said feedback from customers has been great so far.
He said: "It's going really well. We are busier than we anticipated.
"We think it will do well."
