Two cut free from car after crash on M20 at Westenhanger near Folkestone

Two people were rescued from their car after it crashed on the M20 in the early hours.

The pair were travelling on the coastbound section between Westenhanger and the Channel Tunnel exit when the incident happened.

Firefighters were called out to the crash at 1.30am to release both people from the vehicle.

They remained at the scene for just under an hour while the scene around the exit of junction 11 was made safe.

The casualties were taken in by paramedics.
