Pair hurt in head-on collision

TWO women were injured after a car accident on Saturday lunchtime.

One drver was trapped in her car after the head-on crash in Horn Street, Folkestone, and firefighters had to remove the door to free her. She was taken to hospital with a suspected broken leg.

The Folkestone woman, in her mid-70s, had two dogs in the back of the car. One was taken to Anna House veterinary surgery to be treated.

The other woman, thought to be in her 60s, suffered bruising.

Folkestone firefighters were called at 12.30pm and police also attended. The road was closed for several hours.
