A petrol station's shop was sealed off after a cash raid.
Sainsbury's petrol station in the Park Farm Retail Park, Park Farm Road in Folkestone had police tape around the entrance to the shop this morning.
The police say they were alerted just before 2.20am.
A witness said there were two forensic vehicles at the scene before 8am.
A police spokesman said: "We was notified at 2.16am of an intruder alarm sounding at a petrol station on the Park Farm Retail Park, Folkestone.
"Officers attended and established that entry to the premises had been forced and cash stolen from within.
"Inquiries into the incident are ongoing."
A Sainsbury's spokesman said: “Our petrol station is open and serving customers as usual.
"We’re helping the police with their investigation."
