A road in Folkestone has been closed for a number of hours following a crash this morning.

Police have cordoned off the A259 Sandgate Road in both directions while they deal with the incident.

Diversions are in place to avoid the crash scene near to Castle Hill Avenue and Bouverie Road West.

A tweet put out by KCC Highways suggests the road will remain shut "until lunchtime".

Police have been contacted for comment.
