Two men arrested and charged following suspected robbery along The Leas, Folkestone

Two men have been charged with robbery after being tracked down by a police dog and drone.

Officers were contacted just after 10.15am yesterday after a report a man had been robbed of a bag of cash and documents in The Leas, Folkestone.

After a search of the area, assisted by a police dog and a drone, two men were arrested on suspicion of robbery within half an hour of the initial call to police.

Richard Collins, 39, of Plains of Waterloo, Ramsgate, and Craig Dunn, 30, of Westbury Road, Dover, were later charged.

The pair appeared before Folkestone Magistrates' Court on July 12. They were both remanded in custody and will appear at Canterbury Crown Court on August 14.
