Two teenagers arrested after they allegedly turned up at a secondary school in clown masks have been bailed.
Two people were seen on the edge of the Folkestone Academy campus just after midday on October 14.
A statement released by head teacher Warren Smith said "at no point were any students threatened".
But following the reports police officers remained at the scene to "ensure a calm end to the day."
He said: "Police were notified immediately.
"The school day has continued as normal.
"I would like to praise the vigilance of our staff and the prompt response from police."
The Beacon, a school just yards away in Park Farm Road, also sent out emails to parents and guardians.
A 13-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of a public order offence, and a 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of assault and possession of an offensive weapon.
Both are from Folkestone.
They have been bailed until December 5.
