Police have launched an appeal for information after an assault left a man in hospital.
Black Bull Road in Folkestone was sealed off after the victim, aged in his 20s, was found lying unconscious in the street just before 7pm yesterday.
He was taken to hospital by ambulance with minor injuries to his neck, face and chest after he was allegedly punched and kicked to the ground by two men.
The suspects are believed to have fled the area, along Linden Crescent, when witnesses nearby intervened.
Police are now looking for two men aged in their 30s.
One is described as 5'8 to 5'10 tall, of stocky build, with shaved dark hair and tattoos on his neck and arms. He was wearing a beige top and dark-coloured body warmer.
The second is man is described as of large build with lighter coloured hair and wore a dark jacket.
The closure led to traffic disruption in Folkestone town centre but the road was reopened just after 9pm.
DI Andy Bidmead said: "This was an unprovoked and distressing incident for the victim.
"We are making enquiries with a number of witnesses but if anyone saw the incident and hasn’t yet spoken to officers, we urge them to get in touch."
