Police are investigating after a distressed man allegedly approached parents outside a primary school.
The man was reportedly seen wandering around Capel-le-Ferne before approaching parents outside the primary school in Capel Street.
The incident happened just before 9am, when parents were dropping their children off for the morning.
In a neighbourhood watch alert shared by Capel-le-Ferne Parish Council, a witness said: "(The man) had cuts on his arms and neck.
"He said that he wants to use their phones for Facebook and has robbed someone's house. He stopped us in Green Lane.
"The school and the police have been contacted and the police were apparently on their way to have a look out for him.
"He was last seen in the field opposite Capel-le-Ferne Primary School."
A police spokesman said: "We were called to Capel Street in Capel-le-Ferne at around 8.50am due to concern for a distressed man.
"Officers remain in the area carrying out inquiries."
