A popular town centre restaurant and cocktail bar is set to close after seven years of trading.
It has been revealed that Blooms @ the 1/4 in the Old High Street, Folkestone, will lock its doors tonight.
Just before Christmas it was announced Phil and Carol Godden, who run the eatery, were hoping "to hand over the reigns to new owners" in order to retire in the new year.
But in a statement this week they said: "Unfortunately Blooms will be closing for the final time this coming Sunday.
"We were expecting a smooth transition from us to the new owners however this has fallen through.
"Many thanks from all of us at Blooms."
The venue has been advertising its Valentine's Day special menu in recent weeks and last night held a Burns Night supper.
The statement added: "Therefore if there are any vouchers outstanding please contact us on 07795 410351 for us to reimburse you as soon as possible."
The restaurant, which serves Italian and Mediterranean cuisine, opened in March 2013 replacing former nightclub Katmandu.
