A man arrested on suspicion of murdering a pub landlord in Folkestone has been released from bail.
It was the second arrest by detectives as part of an investigation into the shooting of Joe Daniels almost 18 months ago.
Mr Daniels had suffered an injury consistent with a gunshot.
The 58-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene, where a firearm was also recovered.
On Monday, February 25, a pre-planned warrant was carried out by police, including firearms officers, at an address in Beach Road, Westgate.
As part of the early-morning operation, a man in his 20s was arrested on suspicion of murder and conspiracy to supply firearms. He was originally released on bail until March 15, pending further enquiries, but this was extended by five days.
Police say he remains under investigation.
Police were also seen at Ling Metals in Hersden on the same day in February with a warrant as part of the investigation.
A first arrest in connection with Mr Daniels' death was made last year and police say enquiries continue.
Det Ch Insp Richard Vickery said: “A 24-year-old man from Canterbury arrested in connection with this incident on Wednesday, January 31, 2018, remains under investigation."
Officers have reviewed more than 1000 hours of CCTV and dashcam footage, taken more than 350 statements and seized more than 1,200 items.
