A £10,000 reward is being put up to catch axe-wielding robbers who terrorised a bookmaker.
The brave 69-year-old tried to tackle the masked thugs but was hurt in the raid in Hythe.
Police says that the AssociatIon of British Bookmakers have confirmed it is offering the money for information leading to the charge and conviction of those responsible.
Kent Police are now re-issuing an appeal for witnesses and a spokesman said: “The offenders demanded money and left with a quantity of cash. The owner tried to stop one of the suspects leaving the shop but was unable to and received minor injuries in the struggle.”
He had been threatened with an axe in the raid on Cinque Ports Racing in the High Street at 6pm on Monday, October 21.

Police say that the raiders were also dressed in full-length white paper-style suits and it is believed that they left the High Street through an alleyway beside a kebab shop.
