TV funny man Rob Brydon swapped Greece for a casserole on the Kent coast.
The comedian, currently starring in The Trip to Greece with Steve Coogan, dropped by popular Shayda's Turkish Cuisine on Bouverie Road West, Folkestone.
Sporting a fetching dark blue cardigan Gavin & Stacey star Rob was snapped with owner Ibrahim Darwish, 38, and daughter Shayda, 19, at the seaside restaurant.
The picture was shared on the venue's Facebook page alongside the message: "It was an absolute pleasure to have Rob Brydon visit Shayda’s this evening."
Mr Darwish told KentOnline: "We were completely surprised. It was my daughter who recognised him. He was a lovely man and was happy to have his photo taken but made sure everyone else was OK with it first.
"He had a lamb casserole and really enjoyed it but had to rush off as he is playing at The Leas."
Since opening two years ago Shayda's has been visited by Coronation Street stars John Michie (Karl Munro and also Guy Self in Holby City), Ben Cartwright (Neil Clifton), a member of Britain's Got Talent winners Collabro and twice by Rocksalt owner Mark Sargeant.
Rob is performing his Songs and Stories show at The Leas tonight.
The Trip to Greece is on Sky One weekly until May 1 and follows the Would I Lie to You host and Alan Partridge-portraying pal Steve discovering the Mediterranean country's fascinating history and culinary delights.
