A long-standing Indian restaurant has suddenly closed after more than two decades.
The Bikash Tandoori, on The Leas in Folkestone, was well-known in the town for its popular Sunday buffet.
Bosses announced the closure on social media on Monday.
Gulam Zilani said: "It is with great regret to inform all Folkestone residents, friends and all customers who have supported Bikash Tandoori restaurant over the past 23 years that as of today we are permanently closed.
"This is due to myself living in Bedfordshire and also having family commitments and and I would like to say a massive thank you to each and everyone."
After the news of the closure was announced, regular customer Jamie Floate wrote on Facebook: "Saying goodbye to my favourite sit-in eatery in Folkestone.
"It's been emotional Bikash Tandoori. Thanks for all the incredible food Gulam Zilani!"
The restaurant, which has a 3.5/5 rating on Tripadvisor, was deserted when KentOnline visited this week.
Notices posted in the windows, addressed to Mr Zilani from Ashford legal firm Girlings Solicitors, announce the landlord of the building has re-entered and secured the premises.
The notices further warn that an attempt to enter the premises without the previous authority of the landlord could be to a criminal offence and result in prosecution.
Mr Zilani has been approached for comment.
