A shocking night-time hit-and-run has been caught on camera.
A couple were left stunned after a driver collided with their car near Folkestone – only to flee the scene.
The incident happened when Broadstairs resident Katie Lois had been travelling on the A260 towards Canterbury with her partner.
While going around a bend and up a hill on the carriageway, dashcam footage shows the moment a blue car – thought to be a Suzuki – smashed into the back of Ms Lois's vehicle.
After colliding with the rear driver's-side corner of the car, the footage shows the blue car swerve away, appearing to enter the oncoming lane.
It then spins back, turning 270 degrees to end up facing off to the right of the road.
To the couples' shock, the motorist then immediately puts the car back into gear and drives away.
Ms Lois said: "The road we were hit on was pitch black and on a blind bend with diverted traffic including large lorries coming towards us.
"The driver left the scene with complete disregard for any damage they may have caused. Their car is blue and looks like a small Suzuki.
"I am appealing for any information from anyone who may know of someone who has a car like the one in the footage that would probably have quite significant damage this morning.
"Or if the driver sees this and wishes to come forward the police have alrereceivedeved this footage and it is forming part of an investigation."
A police spokesman said: "We were called to a report of collision involving two vehicles at 10.30pm on Thursday, August 25.
"Officers attended the scene on the A260 Hawkinge, in Folkestone. No injuries were reported.
"Enquiries are ongoing to locate the driver of one of the vehicles, who left without speaking to officers."
