With November just around the corner men around the world will be putting down the razors as Movember kicks off.
They will be growing moustaches for the month, to help raise awareness for men’s health.
In Folkestone, special events will be held to increase the amount of money given to the charity.
A Folkestone based team is getting involved with the fundraising. Team Molkestone is being organised through The Folkestonian community group.
Movember helps to raise money for charity's for men's health including prostate and testicular cancer.
Tom Langlands, who helped set up the team with friends Roger Joyce and Andy Jones, said: “Participation in Movember can be done individually but usually the experience is better when you join a team.
“Team Molkestone has been set up as an all-inclusive blanket team to primarily represent anyone from Folkestone who is taking part in the charity event.
“The aim is to get a team of 300 plus which should be one of the largest town teams in the UK.”
The first event is an over-18 fancy dress “Hall-mo-ween” party at The Lanterns tomorrow (Friday) at 8pm with live music and a DJ and traditional Halloween activities.
Prizes will be given for the best costumes. Participation in Movember is not necessary and the party is open to everyone.
A screening of Pulp Fiction will happen on Saturday, November 29, with discounted entry for members of Team Molkestone.
