Street cleaner's arm broken in incident with thugs

KENT Police are appealing for information to help to identify a group of youths who assaulted and verbally abused a street cleaner.

The youths pushed over the 62-year-old’s work barrow on the zig zag path that runs down from the Leas, Folkestone.

When the cleaner challenged the thugs, one of them pushed him. He then fell to the ground, fracturing his arm.

Police say the main offender is a white male aged around 15 to 16, 6ft 2in tall of slim build with short fair hair. He was wearing a blue tracksuit with a blue stripe on the arms and trainers.

The incident occurred at around 10.15 am last Friday. Police would also like to identify the people who came to the victim's assistance and helped him up.
