Church Road in Cheriton, Folkestone, turned into ‘crime scene’ with tents in gardens and forensics van ‘for TV show’

A police car and a forensics van have been pictured in a residential street this afternoon – but all is not as it seems.

The word ‘police’ has been taped over the vehicles spotted in Church Road in Cheriton, Folkestone.

Meanwhile, the car is a Hyundai, not a make commonly used by the force.

The “crime scene” – located just down the road from Cheriton Primary School – is believed to be part of filming taking place for a TV show.

Production crews have also been snapped setting up black tents in the front gardens of two houses on the opposite side of the road.

It is understood they are shooting scenes for an Italian television show. The workers declined to say any more when asked by KentOnline.

One of the vans parked up in Church Road has a Pixipixel logo on the side. According to the firm’s Instagram page, it is a camera and lighting equipment rental house for film, television and commercial productions.
