Kazoku Sushi set to open in former Bikash site on The Leas in Folkestone

A Kent town is set to gets its first sushi restaurant – at the former site of a long-standing curry house.

Kazoku Sushi is set to open its doors in Folkestone taking the spot formerly occupied by Bikash for more than 20 years.

Located in Monument House on The Leas, the restaurant has posted four pictures of the newly-decorated interior on its social media sites and says it will be opening soon.

Business owners posted on their Instagram page: “A little sneak peek.

“Renovations are taking longer than expected but we hope to be open very soon!”

A sign in the window of the site reads renovations are underway and the team hopes to be open by mid spring.

Bikash Tandoori was at the site for 23 years before closing last year.

The curry house was wel-known in the town for its popular Sunday buffet but it shut after the owner disclosed they were living in Bedfordshire and had family commitments.

An official opening date for the sushi restaurant has not been announced yet.
