Armed police arrested a 19-year-old boy after a report of a BB gun being fired on Boxing Day.
Officers were called to Bouverie Road West in Folkestone at 12.50pm on Thursday.
At about 2.30pm the same day armed patrols stopped a car in Military Road, Hythe, and arrested a teenager on suspicion of possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
He was later released on bail, pending further enquiries, until January 15.
Nobody was injured during the incident.
