Plans to create three town centre flats in Folkestone have been submitted for consideration.
The three storey building would be erected in a vacant space adjoining 6 West Cliff Gardens, which is off the High Street.
One flat would be one-bed, and the other two two-bed.
A courtyard for the ground floor flat would be built, and the upper two aprtments would have balconies.
The new build would link to an existing retail unit at 27 Sandgate Road, which fronts onto the pedestrianised section of the town centre.
Planning application has now been submitted to Folkestone and Hythe District Council (FHDC), from applicant Gravesend and District Real Estates Company Ltd.
The design and access statement reads: "The design of the West Cliff Gardens flats seeks to provide accommodation which will be sustainable and affordable.
"It is considered that the development of this site will provide additional, sustainable town centre accommodation."
One comment from a neighbour has been added to the application and raises fears about loss of light.
It reads: "Concern of loss of light to side area of existing site but not too worried.
"Concern of vibration or potential cracks on the existing site of number six when ground works commence if approved."
The plans are currently under consultation and a decision is expected by May.
