A family-run toy business is celebrating after breaking the Guinness World Record for the longest wooden train track.
In doing so, Folkestone-based Bigjigs Toys took back the record it had previously held in 2012.
The business collaborated with ARUP Group, an engineering and design company, to build the track at URUP's offices in Birmingham.
Its record-breaking challenge was to beat the current record of 2,607.15m with a huge distance of 3,395.8m.
The track took an extensive team of excited rail engineers and volunteers three hours to lay and a further hour to push a train along the track to verify the distance.
Marketing and PR executive Jasmin Hayes said: "This world record forms part of ARUP's 50th-anniversary celebrations.
"With huge engineering projects such as HS1 to their name, a collaboration with Bigjigs Toys for the longest wooden train track was a great way to put their engineering skills to the test."
To mark the achievement, Bigjigs Toys have made and are selling a limited edition engraved track piece from the record attempt.
