Two people suffered burns after a fire pit blaze spread to a fence and shed.
Crews were called to a property in Shorncliffe Road, Folkestone, at 10.18pm yesterday.
Two engines attended and firefighers used hose reel jets to extinguish the flames.
It’s believed the fire started accidentally after a flammable liquid was used to ignite a fire pit, which then spread to the fence and a shed.
The injured people suffered minor burns and were left in the care of an ambulance.
The fire service is reminding people to always take care when lighting any outdoor fire.
They should follow manufacturer’s instructions on how to light it safely, and make sure it’s positioned well away from any property or greenery.
