Two men have been arrested after a man was allegedly seen with a weapon in a town centre.
Armed police were sent to Rendezvous Street in Folkestone yesterday at around 4.40pm following a report to the force.
At least four response cars were spotted on the Old High Street attending at the scene by members of the public.
A police spokeswoman said: "Police received a report of a man seen with what is believed to be a weapon in Rendezvous Street in Folkestone at 4.39pm on 13 May 2019.
"Officers including firearms officers attended the location and two men were arrested in connection with the report."
A 21-year-old man from Folkestone arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon, said to be a knuckleduster, received a caution.
A 47-year-old man from Folkestone arrested on suspicion of possessing a firearm was released without charge.
No firearms were recovered.
