Brawl at Rose & Crown pub in Elham leads to two arrests

Two men have been arrested following a brawl in a pub garden.

A fight broke out between two groups in the outside area of the Rose & Crown in Elham on Friday night.

Police were called to the village, in the countryside between Folkestone and Canterbury, at 9.30pm.

Officers, who arrived to find damage to pub furniture, arrested two men aged 46 and 29.

The pair - both from the local area - were detained on suspicion of affray before being released under investigation while inquiries continue.

No serious injuries from the fight were reported.

A public appeal for witnesses has now been launched.
