Two people are in hospital after a blaze broke out in a basement flat.
Two other people were treated for smoke inhalation after fire crews arrived at the scene in Clifton Crescent, Folkestone.
The fire broke out just after 4am today and a search of the entire building was carried out.
Two people found to be suffering heavily from the effects of breathing in smoke were given oxygen therapy by crews before being taken to hospital.
A further two people have also been affected by the smoke, and are being given precautionary checks.
A UK Power Networks engineer is also at the scene to make sure electrical supplies have been isolated.
