An area of grassland at the Folkestone Warren went up in flames yesterday.
Fire crews were called to the nature reserve following reports of grassland and undergrowth on fire just before 4pm on Sunday.
Two fire engines attended the scene in Wear Bay Road but firefighters had to make their way on foot to the area which was alight.
The cause is yet to be identified but the blaze destroyed an area measuring 20m x 50m.
Crews used flexi packs and beaters to put out the fire in the gorse and undergrowth.
They were at the scene for just over half an hour.
