Car parking steward hit by car near Port Lympne wildlife park

A woman has been hit by a car near Port Lympne wildlife park this evening where the Kent Excellence in Business Awards are being held.

The woman, thought to be a steward, was directing traffic on the B2067 when she was struck by a car just after 6pm.

Police and ambulance crews are on the scene.

The woman, who is in her 20s, is believed to have suffered a knee injury.

Police officers are directing traffic, which has slowed to a crawl near the accident causing delays in the area.
