Folkestone Invicta sign former Maidstone United and Leatherhead striker Ian Draycott

Former Maidstone United centre-forward Ian Draycott will not be the last addition to Folkestone’s strikeforce this summer.
Draycott joined Invicta from Leatherhead this week, almost a year after manager Neil Cugley last tried to bring him to the Fullicks Stadium.
Cugley said: "I’m pleased. I met with Ian the other day and we had a short chat about football. I wasn’t sure he was going to sign so I’m delighted to get him.
"He’s a good player, I hope he’ll be a crowd favourite and it means we’ve got a bit of competition up front. I’ve got James Everitt, Draycott, Boothy (Paul Booth) and Dane Luchford but I’d like one more forward, another wide man. Forwards win you games."
Draycott was in the Leatherhead team which beat Folkestone on penalties in last month’s Ryman League Division 1 South play-off final but he’s chosen to stay at Step 4 next season.
Cugley said: "He’s good friends with Boothy. He’s played with him before (at Maidstone), and that helps. Darren Smith (Draycott’s captain at Leatherhead) coming along showed that we’re trying to kick the club on from last season.
"People want to see teams scoring goals and playing good attacking football and we did that for the majority of last season."
