Folkestone Invicta fans will find out on Monday whether manager Neil Cugley can afford to keep his squad together for the promotion run-in.

An open meeting at the Stripes Club will reveal the club’s financial position after a month of costly postponements and stadium damage.

Invicta have had to call off three home games since Boxing Day and Cugley’s concerns over potentially losing some of his best players have still not dissipated.

He said: "I’d love to bring players in but the finances will stop that. It’s more important, if I’m honest, to keep the team that we’ve got.

"It’s been a difficult last three or four weeks, really difficult, to keep it going, so full credit to the people who’ve done their best to keep the side together.

"It’s an important meeting on Monday. We’ll look to see how we can keep everybody together. Hopefully, we come out of that meeting being able to keep the side together for the rest of the season."

Folkestone, who beat Ramsgate 3-1 on Tuesday, welcome back Chris Elliott and Michael Yianni for the visit of Worthing on Saturday.

They sit fifth in Ryman League Division 1 South.
