Invicta have declared themselves 'in the black', almost four years after they entered a Company Voluntary Agreement (CVA) to pay off debts totalling £195,000.
And a new five-figure shirt sponsorship deal with local firm M3 Solutions has further boosted the club’s bank balance and given manager Neil Cugley reason to believe they can start climbing the non-league pyramid again.
He said: "We can start to bring in better players, spend more on the team and that’s what people want.
"They want a team out there which is the best the club can afford.
"It’s nice for me as the manager and it’s the first time for a long time that I’ve been in this situation.
"It’s about being competitive at that level (Ryman Premier). It’s no good if you can’t compete with the big boys. We’re a big club and we’re lucky because we’ve got most things in place."
