NEIL Cugley is still the manager of Folkestone Invicta, despite reports on the Non-League Paper's website that he had left the club and signed a two-year deal to manage Tonbridge Angels. Invicta officials were quick to refute the story.
The Tonbridge job is one that Cugley has been linked with for a few years now, but that job seems to have gone to former Sittingbourne and Fisher Athletic manager Alan Walker. Cugley's position has been in doubt since he was asked to accept a new part-time contract by the Invicta directors, with the possibility of cuts in the playing budget.
Another job he has been linked with is the manager's post at Welling United, following the recent resignation of his friend Tony Reynolds. But Cugley has already been making plans for next season at Cheriton Road and now looks certain to begin his sixth campaign with Invicta.
In other Premier Division managerial moves, Hednesford have sacked manager Kenny Hibbitt and Stafford Rangers manager Iain Painter has resigned after cuts in their playing budget. Former Salisbury City manager Geoff Butler has been appointed as the new manager of Weymouth.
