Welling United 5 Folkestone Invicta 1
FOLKESTONE INVICTA's FA Cup dream turned into a nightmare in last night's fourth qualifying round replay at Park View Road.
Welling earned a trip to Reading in the first round, while Invicta were left to live with the disappointment that they did not finish off Welling in the 1-1 draw at Folkestone on Saturday.
Anthony Hogg opened the scoring for Folkestone in the 29th minute after a great run by Saturday's goalscorer James Dryden. But they conceded four goals in 18 minutes either side of half time. Welling striker Dave Powell helped himself to a hat-trick, starting in the 34th minute after a disputed corner.
Anthony Riviere, who provided the final pass, crossed for Peter Overton to head the second, and from another corner in the 49th minute Powell made it 3-1. Three minutes later Russ Edwards headed the fourth and Powell completed the rout in the 71st minute.
Folkestone will now hope to raise the spirits before another big cup tie, Saturday's home game against former FA Vase winners Tiverton, in the first round of the FA Umbro Trophy.
