Folkestone have agreed a two-year sponsorship deal with “a substantial local company” which will see the name of the ground changed.
Alcaline UK have taken up a front-shirt sponsorship agreement while the Isthmian Premier outfit’s stadium will become the Alcaline Stadium from next month.
The trucking firm, based in nearby Lympne, have made a significant purchase of club shares with Invicta as well.
A Folkestone statement on Wednesday read: “We are delighted to announce that Alcaline UK Ltd have acquired the naming rights to the stadium from May 1, 2023, which - from that date - will become the Alcaline Stadium.
“Alcaline have also taken up the front-of-shirt sponsorship. Both agreements are for two years.
“Alcaline are a well-established International Haulage company, offering specialist road and air services throughout Europe. Alcaline was founded in 1993 in Kent and is based in Lympne.
“The club would particularly like to thank the founder and owner of Alcaline, Lorenzo Zaccheo, and Alcaline’s finance director, Neil Shaw, both of whom worked closely with us to bring the agreement to fruition.
“We would also like to thank Damian Collins MP, who made the introductions and worked with both parties to secure the agreement.
“Work will begin in the next couple of weeks on signage and we will post photographs as the work progresses.
“This is a major step forward for our club, and new investment and sponsors is something we have been looking to achieve for a long time.
“Alcaline have also acquired an interest in the club by a significant share purchase.”
Folkestone’s new sponsors will be at today’s home match against Carshalton.
Invicta, led by joint-bosses Roland Edge and Micheal Everitt, then visit Margate for an Easter Monday Kent derby.
