EAST KENT Crusaders’ play-off game on Saturday has been moved to the Pent Valley Leisure Centre in Folkestone, after the Body and Mind centre at Canterbury High School suffered structural damage on Monday.

Crusaders’ game against the Cardiff Clippers will now take place at 7pm at the centre in Tile Kiln Lane, Cheriton.

Tickets, £3 for adults and £1 for under-16s, will be available on the door.

Head coach Jesse Sazant said: "We are obviously very frustrated by this. We appreciate the help Pent Valley Leisure Centre has provided us with on such short notice.

"We want to apologise to all our supporters and hope that they will be able to make the journey to Folkestone to support us."

Directions to the venue can be found on the centre’s website: www.thevlc.co.uk

Crusaders, champions of EBL Division 3 South East, will host the Clippers in the opening round of the Division 3 play-offs.

Crusaders won the right to play all their play-off games at home by winning their division and this is the first home play-off game in the club’s history.

They finished the season with a 13-3 record. Cardiff finished fourth in the South West Division with a record of 11-5.

The East Kent side are able to name a full strength squad with all players fit and available.

Cardiff’s style of play is built around three-point shooting and much will depend on how accurate that proves is on the night.

Sazant said: "We need to focus on shutting down their shooters and using our size advantage."

Walter Moyse, East Kent’s star centre, said: "Against teams that like to shoot it’s important to try and bat the shot away and force them to come inside and dribble.

"We have a lot of height in our team with players like Pete Adkins, Ryan Richards and myself so we should be able to do that."
