Worthing 3 Folkestone Invicta 0

FOLKESTONE Invicta will take few positives from a deserved 3-0 defeat at Worthing on Saturday.

Lee Charles gave the home side the lead after 13 minutes after James Walker’s attempted clearance fell invitingly for him to volley in at the far post.

Liam Collins put Worthing two up in the 26th minute with a spectacular strike.

And the game was put beyond any doubt 11 minutes into the second half when John Guest was penalised for a foul on the home side’s number nine Sam Francis in the box and Mark Whiteman slotted home from 12 yards.

Invicta were missing the suspended trio of Paul Lamb, Adam Flanagan and James Everitt but showed little in the match.
