Folkestone captain Andy Bray wants a big response from his players on Saturday following their humiliation against Hartley Country Club last weekend.
Being bowled out for 55 and losing by 257 runs has left the Kent League Premier Division new boys reeling ahead of their trip to Bromley on Saturday.
Champions six times in the last 13 seasons, Bromley represent another stern test for Bray’s men, who have to pick themselves up quickly to get their season back on track.
Bray said: "This is the reason we strive to play at the top level, to play against these guys. It’s a challenge.
"Some of our guys who have already played at this level are re-learning what this level is like and for those who have never played in the Premier League, it’s opened a few eyes.
"The top teams are very, very good in this league and if you’re not on top of your game week in, week out, you’ll get punished.
"I’m looking for a response this weekend. A few of them will have learnt a lot from playing a team like Hartley."
