Folkestone Invicta are closing in on the top of Ryman League Division 1 South.
They're the league's form team and victory at home to Three Bridges on Saturday could take them to within a point of leaders and Kent rivals Faversham Town.
Folkestone lost 1-0 at home to Burgess Hill in an FA Trophy replay on Tuesday night but manager Neil Cugley expects his players to respond in the right way.
He said: "We’ve got to be lively and off we go again. We’ve worked hard to get up the league and it’s a massive game now.
"The priority was always the league but we’d like to have had a couple more rounds in the Trophy."
Second-placed Burgess Hill have set the standard in Ryman South this season - they're just two points behind Faversham with four games in hand - but Folkestone pushed them hard over two Trophy games.
Cugley is confident his team are the Hillians' equal.
"I don’t think we’ve got any problems there," he said. "It could have gone either way and if anything, we had the better chances in the second half. It just didn’t fall for us.
"It was a shame we didn’t get into extra-time because if we got a goal, I think the momentum would have taken us forward."
Ronnie Dolan was cup-tied on Tuesday, Matt Newman was ill and Micheal Everitt missed the game for personal reasons but all three are set to return against Three Bridges.
Cugley said: "We had (Joe) Taylor on the bench hoping to go on but he couldn’t because he’s got a bad back. Even Edgy (Roland Edge) might be available on Saturday so we should be stronger.
"Luckily I’ve signed a couple of players - otherwise we would have been really short."
