Neil Cugley has urged the people of Folkestone to turn out in force on Tuesday night to roar Invicta to the play-off final.

A home game – probably against Guernsey – awaits Folkestone in the semi-final as they bid to cap a fantastic season by winning promotion back to the Ryman League Premier Division.

Folkestone have made the Fullicks Stadium a fortress this season, winning 20 of their 29 games there in all competitions. And they brought up a century of league goals with a 3-2 win at home to Merstham on Easter Monday.

A bumper crowd on Tuesday could prove the difference in their biggest game of the season.

Cugley said: "We need people to come along and get behind the team. Hopefully we can get lots of people here because there was a great atmosphere on Monday. Let’s try to get over the line.

"Come along. We’ve scored 100 goals in the league, which is a good achievement and we play some good football. This is good for Folkestone, so come and try to get us over the line.

"The crowd really can be important."

Folkestone finish the regular season by jetting off to play Guernsey on Friday night in what is likely to be a play-off dress rehearsal.

Cugley’s side could finish second with a win, setting up a semi-final against either Burgess Hill or Hastings, although they would need Leatherhead to lose at home to Worthing the following day.
