Bradley Ray is leaving the Superbike World Championship on a high.

Lydd racer Ray, who is returning to British Superbikes next season after two years with Yamaha Motoxracing, made it three events in a row for points finishes, claiming two at Estoril on Sunday with 14th place aboard his YZF-R1M. He was 11th and 14th in Italy and 15th in Aragon.

His final races for the team take place at Jerez in Spain this weekend.

In a rain-affected Portuguese meeting, Ray was 16th in race one after qualifying 21st, 1.2sec behind home rider Ivo Lopes in the final points position, before an 18th-placed finish in the Superpole race and his 14th spot in race two.

“This weekend didn’t get off to a simple start, especially with the weather and track conditions,” said Ray.

“But today we were able to move in the right direction and finish in a very positive way, scoring points for the championship. And now I can’t wait to go to Jerez. Thanks to the team for all their important and constructive work.”

“We end the weekend with Bradley scoring two points and confirming the positive trend we’ve seen in recent races,” team principal Sandro Carusi added.

“I’m confident ahead of next week’s season finale at Jerez.”
