Folkestone Invicta have re-signed the club’s record goalscorer and appearance holder James Dryden from Dover Athletic on a two-year deal.
And the Folkestone club has announced the signings of Craig Wilkins and Matt Bourne, both also from Dover, Nick Humphrey from Ashford Town and Dave Cook from Hythe Town.
But it is the return of the popular Dryden which has got supporters talking and is helping to lift the gloom surrounding the club following their recent relegation.
Dryden made a record 270 starting appearances for Invicta before joining arch rivals Dover Athletic in December 2005.
His tally of 114 goals is also an Invicta record. He was Supporters’ Player of the Year at Invicta in 2001-02, 2003-04 and 2004-05 and enjoyed a testimonial in 2005.
