Kingstonian 1 Folkestone Invicta 5
FOLKESTONE Invicta enjoyed a superb end to the season with a 5-1 win away at relegated Kingstonian on Saturday.
The home side started well and hit the woodwork twice in the opening 20 minutes, the first time after just 37 seconds.
But it was Invicta who took the lead on the stroke of half-time when Simon Glover played in James Dryden to fire home.
The lead was doubled five minutes into the second half when the ball broke to Dryden on the left side of the box and he finished well with a shot across the goal.
And Dryden completed his hat-trick on 57 minutes after good work by John Guest down the right.
Kingstonian pulled a goal back through Martin Lee after 74 minutes, but Folkestone had regained their three-goal lead within a minute when substitute Joe Nielson drilled home Dryden's long throw.
Dryden completed the rout from the penalty spot four minutes from time after the referee decided Glover had been fouled whilst taking the ball around the Kingstonian goalkeeper.
